Dean Henrico is a strategic security and asset protection executive with more than 30 years of leadership experience protecting people, assets and organizations. During more than two decades with Loblaw Companies Limited, Dean progressed through senior operational and security leadership roles, ultimately serving as Senior Vice President of Asset Protecton. In this role, he led the largest in-house team of Asset Protection and Health & Safety Professionals in Canada..
His experience spans retail operations, loss prevention, workplace investigations, violence in the workplace mitigation, operational risk and security technology. Dean has the unique ability to combine strategy and technology with practical, simple, real-world implementation.
Dean is also recognized as one of Canada’s leading experts in Organized Retail Crime and intelligence-driven community protection. Dean’s leadership, combined with his strong, trusted public‑sector partnerships, drove two of the largest and most consequential retail crime investigations in Canadian history: Project Kingfisher and Project Sommes (links below). These operations resulted in the arrests of dozens of suspects, including international suspects, Police believe to be responsible for millions of dollars in organized theft across the country. Dean’s work not only dismantled high‑risk criminal networks but also set a national benchmark for how retailers and law enforcement can collaborate to protect people, strengthen community safety, and reduce the escalating harms associated with organized retail crime.
